THE GRAND MUSICAL
For the first time, a grand musical on life and teachings of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar is being organised in our country by the Govt. of Delhi.
The government of Delhi presents a majestic musical play ‘Babasaheb: the grand musical’ from 25th February 2022 to 12th March 2022 at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium for public. The life of Babasaheb Ambedkar is an inspiration for all, which was full of struggles and filled with accomplishments. His movement for social justice has left an indelible mark on India as a nation as we see it today. The musical celebrates his legacy in a unique manner.
Vowing to walk on the path shown by Dr Ambedkar and fulfill the dreams he saw for this society: Hon’ble CM Arvind Kejriwal says, “As we are celebrating the 75th year of independence., the Delhi Government is organizing a ‘never seen before’ series of shows to celebrate the legacy of Babasaheb, who was also the architect of our constitution.
The musical will be based on Babasaheb’s life, thoughts, ideas and ideology. The entry will be free to all so that each and every citizen can watch the show and seek inspiration from his life. ”
OUR TEAM
The musical play will be based on the life of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar, his thoughts, his ideas and ideology. Rohit Roy would be playing the role of Babasaheb along with Teekam Joshi as narrators. The musical extravaganza has been directed by Mahua Chauhan and Roshan Abbas is the Creative Producer.
Well known rock band, Indian Ocean has created the music for the play and the songs have been written by Kausar Munir and Vineet Pancchi. One of the highlights of the play is its sets, well known Art Director Omung Kumar has created a 100 ft. stage to give an international theater experience to Delhities.
